Whether it’s a marriage proposal, a special anniversary or simply just an opportunity to get away and spend some quality time with the one you love, Valentine’s Day is the time when romance springs eternal. Here is a compilation of lavish resorts and hotels in Thailand that are ideal for a memorable weekend.
Sensual Sensations at Koh Samui
Tropical beaches ooze romance, and nowhere more so than Koh Samui where long languid days on sunny white-sand beaches under the palm trees can be complemented with delicious dining and sunsets each evening. Banyan Tree Samui provides amorous ambience and a sensual setting for the perfect weekend of romance this Valentine’s Day. The tranquil beachfront resort has announced a special program of superb dining options for couples on February 14, starting early afternoon with a strawberry-themed “Love You High Tea” at the lobby lounge, perched photogenically above the beach and with spectacular vistas of the sea. For a delightful evening meal for two, guests can choose from a 6-course dinner at Beachside Restaurant, replete with moonlight and sea breezes, or a sophisticated 6-course Thai set menu at the award-winning Saffron, which was recently listed in the MICHELIN Guide. Or for something truly spectacular, a limited number of candlelit beach canopies will host couples for a “Be My Valentine” 6-course “Destination Dining” meal including Moet & Chandon champagne, quail’s eggs, grilled scallops, truffle ravioli and lobster.
An Evening of Love in Krabi
Beginning around sunset on February 14th, four fortunate couples will dine in private cabanas on Banyan Tree Krabi’s beachfront lawn where an intimate candlelit dinner will be served while the sun disappears behind the horizon on the sparkling Andaman Sea. The special 5-course Valentine’s dinner - limited to four bookings only - is part of An Evening of Love 2026 promotion, which also includes a Valentine’s Afternoon Tea Set at Bird’s Nest, Banyan Tree Krabi’s popular dining pods set among the trees, which command magnificent vistas across the sea and are accessible by electric funicular. The afternoon tea offer is available to guests and visitors any time between February 8 - 15, 2026.Four Courses of Love in Chiang Mai
